Hi, my name is Pallabi Hazarika. An Art enthusiast from Guwahati, Assam. Born and brought up in the culturally rich world’s largest inhabited riverine Island and hub of neo Vaishnavite culture Majuli, I was always inclined towards the rich culture of ours. My love for 'art & craft' as child comes from this beautiful environment of handicrafts and ethnic tradition. Right from childhood I created my own style, redesigning clothes, making unique birthday cards, moulding clay, painting on almost anything and many more.During my school days, I used to paint for the walls of the school and school art gallery.

After completing my masters in Geography from prestigeous Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi, then into jobs and marriage was almost out of touch with my hobby. It was after many years when life threw a difficult situation,I had to quit my job as an Assistant Professor from Department of Earth Science, USTM. I found solace in my old hobby. I was pleasantly surprised how therapeutic this hobby turned out to be. This is how I explored my passion for 'art & craft' once again. And the concept of ‘KalaEva’ emerged out of my daily 'art & craft' therapy. ‘KalaEva’ is a Sanskrit word ‘Kala’ means ‘art and ‘eva’ means put emphasise on Art.

My work consists of :
